Hello
I’m using the exact target webservice API to retrieve all subscribers but I’m getting timeout messages in the return status. I followed your article about the timeouts and I set integrationFramework.Timeout = 500000

the returned status is “Error: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding., ErrorID: 6074822”

Can you give me any tips how to get around this problem?

Not off the top of my head. Unless something is wrong at the server end I have no other tips without actually seeing your code. I would check out the Developer Community (now part of 360 I believe) for more tips/advice.

Wow, thank you for doing this blog and the sample construction website. I’ve only been in it for about 15 minutes and am already learning more about the API than I have in the last 5 days of wading through vague, jargon-filled ET documentation . ET really ought to purchase that sample website from you if they haven’t and provide it to new customers.

Mike,

We are an ET partner they rely exclusively on the API for sending our campaigns. We recently went live and are experiencing import failures. We noticed the failures will always occur if the file is roughly over 600mb. Is there a file size limit when importing to a data extension? Do you have any other ideas for us to attempt? We are very desperate as our campaigns are not processing because the imports are failing. Any advice you can provide us would be greatly appreciated.

You probably already have a ticket open with support, but if not, they will be your best bet.

I know of no such file size limits when importing to DEs, but have support check which version of imports you are on, as we have several different versions of import code, some of which are more efficient than others.
